SOE — Solution of Education
Version of 6 November 2026

Privacy policy

Text proposed by SOE, being reviewed by its legal adviser.

This policy explains which personal data SOE processes on the solutionofeducation.com website, the web application and the mobile application (together, “the platform”), why, with whom it is shared, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights. It applies under Cameroonian law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data.

1. Data controller

Family Group SARL, a limited liability company with a share capital of 500,000 FCFA, registered with the Yaoundé RCCM under number CM-NSI-01-2026-B12-00461, whose registered office is in Yaoundé, Bibong-Bidoum, Simbock (“SOE”).

For any question about your data: [email protected] or +237 6 75 94 23 44.

2. The data we process

  • Account: title, last name, first name, e-mail, phone, language, password (stored encrypted, never in clear), profile photo if you add one, link with the child for a parent.
  • Address: city, neighbourhood, landmark and, if you place it, the exact position on the map.
  • Children: first name, last name, date of birth, class, subsystem, school if you give it, needs, optional photo. Pupils do not have an account.
  • Request and follow-up: subjects, frequency, preferences, quotes, signed contract and amendments, schedule, sessions, session reports, reviews, reports and their photos.
  • Tutors: recruitment file (identity document front and back, date of birth, photo, diplomas, experience, subjects, availability, travel area), interview and level test, signed charter, payout methods (Mobile Money or bank).
  • Check-in: the position of the tutor’s phone when they check in on arrival and check out on departure, only at those two moments.
  • Payments: invoices, amounts, Mobile Money operator and number used to pay, transaction references, receipts. SOE never knows your Mobile Money PIN.
  • Signatures: the image of your signature, with the date, time, IP address and browser of the device, to prove the signature of a contract, an amendment, a session report or the charter.
  • Technical data: IP addresses and dates of sign-ins, device and app version for notifications, log of important actions.

3. Why we use it

  • Provide the service ordered: handle the request, issue the quote, choose and introduce the tutor, have the contract signed, schedule and follow the sessions (performance of the contract).
  • Recruit and check tutors, then pay them (performance of the assignment and SOE’s legitimate interest in children’s safety).
  • Invoice, collect payments and keep the accounts (legal obligation).
  • Send you the messages the service needs: verification codes, session reminders, report to approve, invoice, due date (performance of the contract). You set optional notifications in your account.
  • Handle reports, quality and disputes, and protect children (legitimate interest and legal obligations).
  • Secure the platform: sign-in attempt limits, action log (legitimate interest).

SOE does not sell your data, does not use it for targeted advertising and makes no fully automated decision about you.

4. What the tutor sees, what the family sees

The family’s exact address and phone number are only shared with the tutor once the contract is signed. Before that, they only see the neighbourhood, city, class and subjects.

The family sees the tutor’s first name, the initial of their last name, their photo, education, experience, reviews and the fact that their documents have been checked. Their identity documents and payout methods are never shown to families.

Reviews are published without their author’s name. Reports and their photos are only seen by SOE.

5. The providers who help us

SOE uses providers that process some data on its behalf, only for the service described:

  • Contabo GmbH (Germany): hosting of the platform and its database.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare R2): file storage (documents, photos, signatures, PDFs).
  • Brevo (France): sending e-mails.
  • NotchPay (Cameroon), with MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money: processing payments and payouts.
  • OneSignal (United States): sending notifications to your phone, if you accept them.
  • Google (Places): address suggestions when you type your neighbourhood in the mobile app.
  • OpenStreetMap: map tiles when you place your address.

Some of these providers are located outside Cameroon. These transfers are limited to what is strictly necessary and covered by their contractual confidentiality and security commitments.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account: while it is active. On deletion, personal data is erased or anonymised.
  • Contracts, invoices, receipts and payments: 10 years, for accounting and tax obligations.
  • Session reports, check-ins and reports: for the length of the contract, then 5 years in case of a possible dispute.
  • Tutors’ identity documents and diplomas: for the length of the collaboration; deleted with the account, or within one year after a declined application.
  • Technical data (sign-ins, log): 12 months at most, unless an investigation is under way.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the Security section of your account, on the web or in the app. Deletion is not possible while a contract is running, an invoice is unpaid or a dispute is not settled: contact your advisor in that case.

On deletion: your profile, photo, contact details, address, preferences and devices are erased; your children’s records are anonymised; for a tutor, their documents, payout methods and charter signature are deleted. Contracts, invoices, receipts and session reports are kept for the periods above, without the data no longer needed.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, object to processing based on legitimate interest or ask for its restriction, and receive the data you gave us. Much of this is done directly in your account (profile, address, children, notifications, deletion).

For the rest, write to [email protected] stating your request. We may ask you to prove your identity. We answer within one month.

The parent or legal guardian exercises the rights of their minor child.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can refer the matter to the Cameroonian personal data protection authority.

9. Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, data access limited to the SOE staff who need it according to their role, verification codes for sensitive operations (changing e-mail, phone or payout method), temporary download links for documents, log of important actions.

10. Cookies

The platform only uses the cookies it needs to work: your sign-in session, the “Remember me” option if you tick it, and form protection. It uses no advertising cookie and no third-party audience measurement tool.

11. Changes to this policy

SOE may update this policy. You are told of any significant change by e-mail or notification before it takes effect. The applicable version and its date appear at the top of this page.
